I made this crockpot pork for Dave last week. I am always looking for new things to make for him, to keep things interesting. I don’t know why I bother though. I am sure he wouldn’t feel any different about the meals I made for him if I simply rotated the same 3 meals for the rest of his life. I swear, if food wasn’t necessary for survival he wouldn’t eat. He’s crazy.

 Ingredients


  • 2 pounds Pork tenderloin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground sage
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 clove Garlic; crushed
  • ½ cup Water
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • ¼ cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • ½ cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce



Instructions


  1. Mix t?g?th?r th? seasonings: sage, salt, pepper ?nd garlic.
  2. Rub ?v?r tenderloin. Place ½ cup water ?n slow cooker; place tenderloin ?n slow cooker.
  3. Cook ?n l?w f?r 6-8 hours.
  4. hour b?f?r? th? roast ?? finished, mix t?g?th?r th? ingredients f?r th? glaze ?n ? small sauce pan: brown sugar, cornstarch, balsamic vinegar, water, soy sauce.
  5. Heat ?v?r medium ?nd stir unt?l mixture thickens, ?b?ut 4 minutes.
  6. Brush roast w?th glaze 2 ?r 3 times dur?ng th? l??t hour ?f cooking. (For ? m?r? caramelized crust: remove fr?m crockpot ?nd place ?n aluminum lined sheet pan, glaze, ?nd set und?r broiler f?r 1-2 minutes unt?l bubbly ?nd caramelized. Repeat 2 t? 3 m?r? times unt?l desired crust ?? achieved.)
  7. Serve w?th remaining glaze ?n th? side.
